REP. HEATH HOWARD CELEBRATES CAMPAIGN LAUNCH AT IBEW LOCAL 104
Barrington, NH, July 31, 2025 - State Representative Heath Howard (D-Strafford 4) spoke before a crowd of more than eighty supporters at his Congressional campaign launch party at IBEW Local 104 in Barrington on Thursday night.
“We need something different. We need something bold. We need generational leadership. So tonight, I’m here to tell you: I’m running for Congress, because the people of New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District deserve a Representative who knows what it means to struggle and who’s ready to fight like hell to make things better.”
A member of the disability community himself, Howard commented on the poignancy of announcing his campaign at the end of Disability Pride Month and on the 60th anniversary of the adoption of Medicare and Medicaid.
Regarding the other candidates in the Democratic primary for the Congressional District, Howard noted, “despite being [the youngest candidate] officially in the race, I bring more legislative experience than all of my competitors.”
Howard also described the items in the “Economic Bill of Rights” that form the basis of his platform, including universal healthcare, a living wage for all, tuition-free trade schools and public colleges, and housing for all.
The Howard campaign plans to hold another launch event in August, this time in Manchester. Date and location will be announced on HeathHowardNH.com and on social media at “Heath Howard for NH” on Facebook, and @HeathHowardNH on Instagram, X, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, and TikTok.
